POSITION DETAILS: 

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for coordinating all phases of restaurant & bar operations/group meeting/banquet functions held in the location; coordinate these activities on a daily basis; assist clients in program planning and menu selection, and prepare location for all menus offered to customers.

As an overview:

  • Overseeing the restaurants’ financial performance, including tracking sales data and analyzing profit margins
  • Hiring and managing a staff of waiters, waitresses, bartenders, and other employees who serve customers directly
  • Ensuring that food preparation and sanitation standards are being met by all staff members
  • Managing an inventory of food, beverage, and supplies to ensure that restaurants have adequate supplies for service
  • Monitoring the quality of customer service to ensure that all staff members are providing excellent service to guests
  • Managing catering operations for special events such as weddings or corporate dinners
  • Ensuring that all dining facilities are well maintained to meet health codes and other requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, labor costs and profitability.
  • Timely analysis of Food & Beverage Prices in relation to competition.

  • Telemarketing to previous clients to inquire about possible future bookings.

  • Coordination, attendance and participation at monthly (or more frequent) F & B meeting and Department Head meeting.
